M. Elle Design was born out of the love of design and family. Based in  Santa Monica, CA and Newport Beach, CA, M. Elle Design is a mother-daughter team that strives to
combine understated elegance and comfort, while staying mindful of patina, provenance,
and texture of all the materials involved. With great attention to detail, M. Elle
Design creates edited designs that embrace the mood and soul of the interiors.

The team is comprised of Mary Lynn Turner and her daughters Marie Turner Carson and Emily Turner.
Mary Lynn has been a sought after interior designer for over thirty years,
transforming interiors in Southern California with a well-defined casual chic. Mary Lynn also
brings a strong architectural prowess, which has come to define her interiors.
Marie Turner Carson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Southern California. She then moved to London to pursue design, and received her
Master’s degree in Fine and Decorative Arts from Christie’s Education. After
refining her eye at Christie’s, Marie moved on to the prestigious David Collins
Studio where she worked on residences in London and the south of France, as well as on
commercial projects in London and Prague. Marie teamed up with her mother Mary Lynn
after returning from Europe.
Emily Turner, having always shown a passion for the design business, joined the team as
the Business Director after working in the real estate and insurance industries. Emily
received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, and a Certificate in
Accounting from the London School of Economics.

M. Elle Design’s fresh, yet studied approach to design is inspired by a passion
for travel and discovery. The firm believes in constantly honing an eye for design
through exposure to different cultures and places. As a company, they are dedicated to
creating sophisticated spaces that are authentic, yet reflective of their clients’
personal style and identity. The team prides itself on providing their clients with
excellent service, timely execution, and personal attention.
